1951

The Early Days of Giti Tire

Giti was established in 1951 and initially produced bicycle tires and inner tubes in Indonesia before transitioning to the production of bias tires for passenger and commercial vehicles.
1960-1970

Early Expansion and Innovation of GT Tire

During this period, Giti began expanding production to passenger car and light truck tires. The company also made significant investments in Research & Development (R&D) to enhance tread design, rubber compounds, and overall product quality.
1980-1990

Global Expansion and OEM Business Growth

Giti began exporting to various countries worldwide, establishing new factories, and strengthening its OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) business with several major vehicle manufacturers.
1960-1970

Strategic Collaboration with Anhui Tire Factory

In 1993, Giti formed a joint venture with Anhui Tire Factory in China to produce bias tires. Three years later, in 1996, Giti began significantly increasing its production of PCR (Passenger Car Radial) tires.
2000

Technology Development and Modern Production Centers

Entering the 2000s, Giti established R&D centers and production facilities in China and Indonesia. During this period, Giti also introduced various eco-friendly technologies and innovative noise-reduction systems.
2013

R&D Expansion into America and Europe

Giti opened new research and development centers in the United States and Germany, strengthening its position as a global tire manufacturer with high technological standards.
2017-2025

First Factory in North America

Giti began operations at its first factory in North America, located in South Carolina, marking a significant step in strengthening its presence in the region.
